Kaitlyn Salisbury is a native of Rhode Island and currently lives in New York City. She grew up dancing and performing at Atwood Performing Arts Center, The Gold School and Festival Ballet Providence. Kaitlyn has also trained with numerous dance intensive programs including The Juilliard School, NYCDA and The Movement Invention Project. In 2012, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. Right out of college Kaitlyn had the privilege of working with Tracie Stanfield and her company Synthesis Dance Project and performed at the Peridance Capezio Center. From there she joined Sheena Annalise and traveled around the country performing with Arch Contemporary Ballet as a principal dancer. A few years ago the dance world threw her for a loop when she joined Mystic India: The World Tour and performed with them in Canada. Her biggest accomplishment to date is the creation of her dance intensive called MOVE: The Initiative which she runs with her good friend Rory Freeman of Shaping Sound.
